Antigoni Katsantoni
Hi there, I’m very humbled and grateful you’re checking out my page!
My name is Antigoni (anti-gó-ni), and I’m an independent A&R, artist manager, curator, and interviewer, on a mission to discover and support the next generation of incredible music and talent.
Upon graduating from the University of Bath with a degree in Management, I joined Spotify as their UK Music Intern, where I learned the ins and outs of one of the biggest players in today's music industry, worked on playlist campaigns like RAP UK, listened to an insane amount of music (with a lot of my picks ending up on New Music Friday and Fresh Finds!) and presented my research and ideas on Spotify's work within the Rap/Hip-Hop genre in the UK. Most recently, I was a Team Assistant at Big Red Talent and Fire in the Booth on Apple Music, working across all aspects of planning, filming, post-production and scheduling of the biggest freestyle platform worldwide, and handling aspects like submitting to distribution, liaising with artist teams, and formulating and executing a social media strategy.
For the last few years, I have also been doing independent A&R work, discovering and connecting the dots between up-and-coming artists and producers. I’ve been blessed to organise sessions for artists like kadiata, Suté Iwar, SGaWD, Niels, LUCIIA and more. I have also had the pleasure to be managing one of the most incredible rising artists in R&B, Derby-born, London-based Diedrick, and producer duo svndaypack, helping out with organising sessions, release planning, strategy and much more.
I have also had extensive radio experience as a host, interviewer, and DJ. Being part of the Student Music Network, I have interviewed some of the most exciting emerging talent worldwide, including Kojey Radical, Saba, Adekunle Gold, Joy Crookes, Samm Henshaw, Channel Tres, beabadoobee, and Tai Verdes. I take pride in my ear and my ability to discover music. You can *hear* for yourselves on my playlists "antigoni's new music friday" and "antigoni's 23 uk rising artists to watch in 2023". You can also find some of my writing credits for the Blues Project and Neo Music Group here.
Finally, while still at University, I honed my skills in marketing and communications through internships at companies such as Coca-Cola, Ogilvy, Cloud X, The SU Bath, MAD TV Greece, Lost in Jazz Festival Greece, and more.
That’s more than enough about me – let's talk about you. I'm always on the lookout for new opportunities and challenges, whether that's working with talented artists or collaborating with industry professionals who share my passion for music. Let's connect and make some magic happen!
